Spooky Tales at Logan!
Delighted to be working with our friends at Logan Botanic Garden – Scotland’s Most Exotic Garden no less - on a spooky storytelling stroll. The team will be heading way out west next Friday (27th July) to present our special one-off event - Strange and Spooky Tales at Logan - in what is a truly unique location.
Wigtownshire and The Rhinns are home to many a strange tale and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed researching stories of phantom pipers, wizards and witches and a very famous UFO case. This will also be our first tour with a dedicated creature feature as we explore the big cat sighting phenomena known as The Beast of Galloway…
We originally met Richard Baines, Curator at the 2017 Dumfries and Galloway Life Awards, when the Logan team proudly scooped the Tourism Champion Award. Before long the two Tourism Champions had joined forces and started working away behind the scenes on a new and exciting event to tempt visitors and locals alike.
Guests will be led around the garden, taking in its tropical delights, and stopping at key points to discover the area’s rich folklore, with historical and modern day spine-tinglers at every turn. One of our favourite spots is the ruin of ancient Balzieland Castle, harking back to a time when the McDouall family ruled the roost - what might these old walls have witnessed…?
