One of our team aims is to; investigate a range of diverse locations including; homes, businesses, historic properties and roads…
…and since our official launch on 31st October 2008, we’ve done just that! Now in our eighth year, we feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to investigate some truly fascinating (and unnerving!) locations. Our main focus is on Dumfries and Galloway, however we are happy to explore further afield, enjoying ghostly adventures in places like; Cumbria, Fife and the Scottish Borders.
It is important to mention that we’ve only listed official investigations. These are usually defined by e.g. the amount of time they take, planning, use of equipment, including trigger objects and in particular, documentation, which takes the form of a detailed report. We may also carry out numerous informal visits before and after the official investigation, which is a great help in terms of research, planning and gaining valuable experience. Take Lochmaben Castle for instance; on the week running up to our investigation, we visited the grounds on four separate occasions, even returning the next day to continue our work.
Essentially, studying the paranormal is an ongoing process with some investigations taking place over a period of years (see Theatre Royal in Dumfries and Garlieston Straight Road in Wigtownshire).
