Looking for a unique way to celebrate your special event? Look no further than the Dumfries Ghost Walk!

Dumfries, Queen of the South, can boast an 826 year history filled with momentous events and memorable characters. Of those, there are many which the town may prefer to forget; ghoulish bodysnatchers, grisly executions and a bizarre double tragedy to name but a few. The award winning Mostly Ghostly team will relish the prospect of revealing the hidden history of Dumfries – along with a few more famous stories - in our own inimitable style!

So, why choose the Dumfries Ghost Walk? Well, the tour is run by real-life paranormal investigators who can offer a unique insight into the ghostly and supernatural. You will be guided around the shadowy streets by three knowledgeable, approachable and experienced presenters to learn about a town with a history so gripping; it can match many of its better known counterparts.

Please note; Mostly Ghostly do not have jumper-ooters on our tours as we believe the stories are strong enough to carry themselves.

Bus and Tour Companies

Looking for something different to offer your customers? Dumfries and Galloway is a stunningly beautiful and immensely varied region with fantastic visitor attractions. We are proud to offer an interesting alternative for people who wish to learn about rich, dark history as well as intriguing ghostly tales. Our tour can be incorporated into existing itineraries and could be a big selling point, particularly as ghost and paranormal history tours are so popular. The walk is on the whole, disability friendly and we can make minor adaptions to accommodate most people.

Schools

We at Mostly Ghostly are passionate about local history and are keen to encourage children and young people to get involved. Grim and gruesome tales seems to make learning a more memorable experience and anything that supports young people to take an interest in history and perhaps gain more pride in their home town can only be a good thing. For children visiting from outwith the region, the walk will touch on subjects that may inspire school projects and discussion topics, giving them an eerie insight into how life used to be in this historically important town.

Corporate

For work social, team building and conference-based events, the Dumfries Ghost Walk is ideal. With lots of thought-provoking talking points to take away with you and ponder, this is a great way to bring your employees together and treat them to something special following a hard day’s work. Why not tie it in with a meal at one of our delicious local eateries or enjoy a post-walk blether in a historic pub or howff with a nice wee dram to steady the nerves…

Accommodation Providers

We are keen to work with accommodation providers and see the Dumfries Ghost Walk as a great way of promoting our fascinating town; it’s ghastly past, fine architecture and colourful characters from days gone by. Yet another selling point to offer your customers with a view to encouraging them to further explore the town. If people enjoy an interesting, informative and exciting stay, they may well return to you again!

Birthday and Celebration Parties

Since our launch back in 2010, we’ve been delighted to take private bookings, some of which have included birthday or celebration parties. Many people these days are looking for different ways of celebrating and ghost walks and haunted tours will help ensure your guests enjoy an unforgettable occasion! If you have something specific in mind, come and talk to the Mostly Ghostly team and we’ll see what we can do to make your personal event extra special so that you, your family and your friends will remember it for many years to come…
